Walking & Cycling Discoveries Ahead?
Fancy lacing up your trainers to get some fresh air? Or simply feeling a bit restless? We provide all the information you need for walking and cycling routes in the surrounding area. Maps, route descriptions, GPX coordinates… it’s up to you!
The Seignanx area is also crossed by major hiking and cycle touring routes. Whether you are travelling along the Way of St. James (Coastal Route), the Vélodyssée (EuroVelo 1), or the Scandibérique (EuroVelo 3), we have all the information you need.
CYCLING ROUTES
Cycling is the ideal way to discover the Seignanx. First of all, because the area is flat and offers long, wide, fully safe cycle paths. Heading north towards the forest of Labenne (10 km) or Capbreton (20 km), the route runs through woodland. Heading south towards the Basque coast, the route takes you straight to Bayonne (10 km) or Anglet (20 km). To make your discovery easier, we have created several loop routes starting from Tarnos and Ondres.
WALKING ROUTES
From easy family strolls to longer loops for experienced hikers, there is something for everyone! And for every taste too: walking loops winding through pine forests on flat, sandy terrain along the coast; or gentle hills, deciduous forests, lakes and the Adour wetlands on the countryside side. The Tourist Office offers around ten walking loops to explore the area.
